Craig and Amy are the founders of Catholic Marriage Fellowship, a grassroots initiative to help build and nurture strong, joy-filled marriages. From online pre-Cana marriage retreats to their fellowship-rich, in-person Marriage Illuminated Date Night program, they delight in immersing engaged and married couples in the treasure of Christian marriage, while growing in a faithful community.
A native New Englander from the White Mountains of NH, Craig met his wife, Amy, a South Dakotan, while both were studying Theology at Franciscan University of Steubenville. Craig and Amy married a few years later and began their vocation and life as missionary disciples. They are blessed by 26 years of marriage and the joy of five daughters, ages 25 down to 12.
Inspired by the rich Catholic traditions of our Faith, as well as their studies of Pope St. John Paul II’s writings on evangelization, marriage and family life, they have devoted their adult lives to ministry since 2002 in diocesan, parish, young adult, and marriage ministry. Craig & Amy offer lively talks on dating, marriage and family life, serve as parish marriage mentors, and have been NFP instructors for the past 22 years. The most important and rewarding ministry that Craig and Amy are engaged in, however, is that of their own marriage and family, joyfully seeking to ‘guard, reveal and communicate love’ in their little domestic church. In their spare time, the great outdoors is their playground with family hiking, camping, DIY projects on their hobby farm, and most every backyard sport with their girls. Craig and Amy together enjoy long walks, reading, and cooking up family recipes in the kitchen with a glass of wine.
CMF offers online marriage-prep retreat days, modeled after diocesan daylong marriage preparation programs. Our retreat offers formation in the Church's teaching on Christian Marriage while guiding engaged couples to reflect upon and discuss the essentials of practical life skills, and theological/spiritual marital topics before entering into the Sacrament of Holy Matrimony.
Marriage Illuminated Date Nights is an engaging marriage enrichment program series, based on the mysteries of the Holy Rosary, as detailed in the upcoming book series by Craig & Amy.
CMF offers a variety of presentations and retreats, both online and in-person, to enrich and inspire marriages, while also helping launch marriage fellowship programs/groups for your specific area/parish.
A strong Catholic marriage entails God's sanctifying grace, as well as the foundation of each spouse's commitment to daily prayer and virtue. When accompanied by the fellowship and joy of other Christian couples in a strong community, married couples mature and grow while fostering solid Christian friendships.
CMF helps dioceses, parishes, and small groups form a personalized roadmap for lifelong marriage prep and enrichment.
